No, United Did Not Ban Two Girls From A Flight Simply Because They Wore Leggings

Feminists on social media have flown into a fit of rage following news that United Airlines supposedly barred two female passengers from boarding a flight because they were wearing leggings.

It all began when one Twitter user – who was supposedly present at the time of the incident – decided to narrate what she was seeing.

Very quickly, other social media users decided to join in chastising United Airlines for their obvious act of sexism.

Some have even threatened to wear leggings on their upcoming United Airlines flights in protest.

Unfortunately for these seething feminists, they’re not quite in the loop on the full story.

Here’s United Airlines’ response.

Speaking with the Washington Post, a United Airlines spokesman expanded, stating the passengers that were turned away were attempting to board using a United employee pass.

This pass, according to the spokesman, comes with its own dress policy.

“Our regular passengers are not going to be denied boarding because they are wearing leggings or yoga pants,” said the spokesman. “But when flying as a pass traveler, we require [these] pass travelers to follow rules, and that is one of the rules.”

Continuing, he said, “they were not compliant with the dress policy with the benefit,” adding that the teens were aware of the rule.

The Washington Post states that travelers familiar with United’s travel pass say “it has long been a requirement for those using the benefit to dress up more than paying passengers.”

The rationale? These travelers are “representing” the company, as the spokesman puts it, according to The New York Times.

Of course, this explanation still does not register with feminist social media users like Christine Teigen who apparently doesn’t understand that nobody really cares what she wears on a United Airlines flight because she’s not an employee representing the company.

      There’s a fundamental difference?

Yes. Drunk people usually set out to have fun, and sometime they are fun. Feminists do the exact opposite.

Did you hate men to the point of insanity?
Did you become physically ill if a conservative female got more attention than you?
Did you have short hair, piercings and a p*ssy hat?

yup. I knew the ending to this story. and it might very well end with the employee who gave the passes to the teens losing their job after all this fuss. THAT’s how strict the airlines are about using these passes. you can’t even wear frayed jeans or jeans with holes or flip flops. and you’re NOT suppose to draw attention to the fact that you’re flying on a pass.good job, bird brains.

    • JD Hart

      March 26, 2017 at 11:23 pm

As soon as I read the article I figured it was about the dress code for staff. Have the same here with my airline. They are always stricter, and you can be offloaded for not conforming very easily. The girls knew but decided to make an issue of it, and lost out. No story really.

As a flight attendant for over 25 years my first thought when I saw the headline was they are “non rev” employee travellers. Duh! Employees have had dress codes for decades. It used to be stringent even just 5 years ago…no jeans, no shorts, no logo t-shirts, no sandals, etc. It’s more lax now but there is still a code.

  18. EnglishBullDogs

Buddy Pass is a family member discounted ticket with United. My sister was an employee with United and if we didn’t fellow the dress code that could cause her to lose her job. As Travelers by choosing to use a Buddy Pass we were require to fellow the rules of the Dress Code. Rules are Rules.

My grandfather in law travels. A lot. A couple of years ago he was on a United Flight he had received as a gift for flying so often. It was basically this same thing, a benefit, a bonus flight, and the rules are there for a reason; They give these bonus flights out and use the experience as a way to advertise their services. Magazines, pamphlets, ads in papers, anything with a picture of a bunch of people on a flight that doesn’t look 100% staged is likely from one of these flights. They literally are representing the airline.

He told me a story about coming back from China and as he was boarding, he was pulled aside and asked to change his pants. He had been wearing shorts and the dress code said he had to wear pants. He wasn’t angry, there was no argument, which is probably why they offered him vouchers for the airline shops to get a pair of pants. He was ready to go buy them, but was lucky that a passenger on another flight, without the restrictions, overheard and was willing to change pants with him. And luckily they were the same size. They even exchanged the pants through the mail later.

    March 27, 2017 at 6:11 am

Other reports state they were ten year old kids and Dad was wearing a shorts-which were apparently ok. There is so more to the story yet look at the comments. Milo’s hatred of fat people bubbling to the surface.

Why is it you feminist trash can be up in arms over stupid, non-issues like this, but you trash never make a peep when Muslims treat women like property in the Middle East, and you scum never have any issue with all of the women raped across Europe by Muslims.

And I haven’t seen any feminist trash condemn the illegals who raped a 14 year old girl at school in Maryland.
