Conservatives find it increasingly difficult to host a proper social event.
Talks at colleges are shut down or priced out, and parties for patriots in the new right are plagued with last minute venue changes or violent protestors lurking outside.
They never figured we had a navy.
Gavin McInnes’s politically incorrect men’s social club, the Proud Boys, secretly chartered a yacht and invited fellow conservatives and libertarians of all stripes to revel in patriotism floating around the island of Manhattan on Saturday evening.
If the boat capsized, that may have been the end of the conservative movement on the eastern seaboard.
MILO attended the packed cruise alongside Comedy Central comedian Pat Dixon from Compound Media, journalist and video personality Martina Markota, investigative reporter and conservative rabble rouser Laura Loomer, and journalist and commentator Chadwick Moore. Proud Boys from all over the county, and the world, came to drink, be merry, and take in the beautiful New York skyline from a waterside view.
The trip went around the island starting at the lower part of the East River. Some attendees said they were visiting New York for the first time; taking in sweeping views of the Freedom Tower, the Brooklyn Bridge and a close up of Lady Liberty that inspired the boat to spontaneously break out into a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
MILO and McInnes addressed the eager crowd of wall to wall smiles in the mild April evening.
“As some of you know I had a rough 2017. It’s been a bit rocky, and you find out who your friends are at difficult times,” Milo told the crowd as they cheered for him in support.
McInnes adorned a captain’s hat and raised a Proud Boys mug to honor the night. He spoke about Proud Boy Clark Camp who DANGEROUS reported is serving time in prison for a minor gun violation. The very boat where the celebration took place was formally captained by Camp.
“Who doesn’t have a handgun? I’ve got one on me right now,” McInnes assured the people on deck.
McInnes spoke about the ridiculous amount of hate patriots, like the Proud Boys, go through simply to honor their country with a drinking club.
“If it was the ‘National Rapist Institute‘ you’d understand a lot of backlash. But it’s just a bunch of guys, of all races and sexual proclivities and blah, blah, blah, blah-blah –who want to hang out and drink beers like we’ve been doing since way before the beginning of America.”
The event was the best kept secret in cultural celebrations, without a masked face or blue haired protestor in sight. Not one peep about any planned demonstration on even the deepest of message boards.
Not even one feminist in a dinghy with a lip ring.
Florida Proud Boy Enrique Tarrio pointed out to the critics:
“We’re not worried about others views on us…..we just strive to be the best men the modern world has to offer. And we have been extremely successful at that,” Tarrio said.

After Trump supporters claimed victory in the 2016 election, and all the carnage that has been created by their opposition since, the Proud Boys say the best way to win friends and influence people is having fun. Social justice groups who display being offended like it’s their latest yoga pose, they’re sure to remind us, aren’t having much fun.
“Living well is truly the best revenge, and if you have the means, do it on a boat,” Tarrio said.
