Outrage Mob Attacks Kim Kardashian for ‘Cultural Appropriation’ After She Gets Hair Braids

Kim Kardashian got hair braids and Twitter is not having it.

The 37-year-old television star is being blasted with accusations of cultural appropriation.

Just another day in clown world.

The meltdown happened when Kardashian shared a picture on Snapchat showing her new silver cornrows and calling them her “Bo Derek” braids, referring to an actor’s hairstyle from the 1979 film 10, to which people immediately reacted negatively.

Kardashian, who is famous for being famous, then ignited the fury of the recreational outrage mob by posting a picture of her new hair on Twitter:

She was met with an unhappy response. Twitter users accused Kardashian of culturally appropriating the braided hairstyle from black culture:

Some even called her a ‘culture vulture.’

Bizarrely, Lindsay Lohan commented upon the hairstyle change saying that she was “confused” by the new look, because changing a hairstyle is the equivalent of a Rubix cube. Surprisingly, Kardashian responded to Lohan, saying, “You know what’s confusing…your sudden foreign accent.”

Some users did come to Kardashian’s defense:

Conservative transgendered YouTuber Blaire White also spoke out in defense of Kardashian.

As did conservative journalist Jack Posobiec.

And, not one to back down from a bit of drama, Kardashian herself gave a message to the haters.

The oldest known reproduction of hair braiding may be found in a figurine known at the Venus of Willendorf, a small female figure estimated to be around 30,000 years old, discovered in Lower Austria and depicted with either braided hair or some sort of woven basket on her head.

Ancient Greeks, Babylonians, and Egyptians have also been depicted with braided hair.

And you thought you’ve had bad hair days.

She likely said Bo Derek because of the blonde braids! Hello people! I’m pretty sure she knows it’s an african style, but the braids are blonde. Bo Derek had blonde hair. Do ANY millenials do a little research before flipping the F out anymore? Look at the Derek picture and anyone will see what she’s going for.

There is no such thing as “Black” culture, there is African Culture, there is American Culture among other nationalities. And when other cultures brought that hairdo to our shores, it became part of American Culture, so get ovr your high hprses

also, there is doubt if it even came from Africa (Read below)

Texas Bae nailed it and I suggest Kim Kardashian take a similar approach. “Why the hell can’t I wear braids if they they look good? And from all the people accusing me of appropriating their culture, I don’t see any of them wearing any dashikis, kaftans, or grand bou bous. Or did blue jeans and sneakers come from Africa?”

By the way, I love all the “look at me new hairstyle!” posts that feature bikinis, thongs, underboobs, side boobs, duck faces, loose blouses, yoga pants, and so on.

How come white people aren’t allowed to wear cornrows, but black people can wear any hairstyle they choose?
I don’t see anyone telling Beyonce to stop culturally appropriating white hairstyles.

I always find it hilarious when Black women complain about other people wearing ‘Black’ hair styles considering how much they love sewing other races’ actual hair onto their heads

Braids originated in Egypt as far as I know, and the Egyptian race, yes the identity morons brought this race nonsense to the board so I will use the word race even if it’s grossly misleading and wasn’t even a thing back then. Anyway, the Egyptian race back then was built from east european and greek people. Cleopatra was as white as they come, having a greek father and egyptian mother. That black people think braids belong to them is as ridiculous as the idiots white washing our history. Braids are all over the place in ancient history and the pictures we of them on vases, statues and such.
