U.S. Official: ‘Track Obstruction’ May Have Caused Amtrak Train Crash

The Associated Press reports that an official has speculated that a “track obstruction” could have caused the Amtrak train crash on December 18.

In the past, antifa has been known to pour cement onto train tracks to create an obstruction.

The train, which was traveling with passengers for the first time, derailed near Tacoma, Washington.

The crash, which occurred just before 8 a.m. on Monday, resulted in one of the train cars hanging off an overpass, while around 13 more flew off the track.

After the incident, President Trump tweeted:

The train accident that just occurred in DuPont, WA shows more than ever why our soon to be submitted infrastructure plan must be approved quickly. Seven trillion dollars spent in the Middle East while our roads, bridges, tunnels, railways (and more) crumble! Not for long!

“It felt like it was in slow motion,” said a woman who was on the train when it derailed. “I was trying to grab the bottoms of the cable. I felt like a pinball in a pinball machine.”

“Everything was rubble. I’m amazed I’m not rubble,” she added.

“It felt like the end of the world, like we’d stepped out of a nuclear bunker amid the wreckage,” another passenger told the Guardian. “It’s hitting me in waves. I’m suppressing some of it. Tonight is probably going to be rough.”

In April, the antifa media platform, It’s Going Down, admitted to sabotaging train tracks which lead out of the Port of Olympia.

It’s Going Down, which claims to be “a media platform for revolutionary anarchist, anti-fascist, and autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial movements,” attempted to delete the post, however, it was archived

“Early in the morning of April 20, we poured concrete on the train tracks that lead out of the Port of Olympia to block any trains from using the tracks. We took precautions to notify BNSF (the train company) – we called them, and we used wires to send a signal that the tracks were blocked,” the blog post reads. “We did this not to avoid damaging a train; nothing would bring bigger grins to our faces, but to avoid the risk of injuring railway workers.”

“Behind this network of infrastructure, there are politicians, CEOs, and bureaucrats who have private security, cops, prison guards, non-profit directors, PR consultants and the legacy of 500 years of colonization to back them up. We oppose all of these manifestations, infrastructural, personal and ideological,” the post continues, adding that the group responsible was “emboldened by the spirit of all those who have risen against the white supremacist police in Furguson, Baltimore, Oakland and elsewhere, as well as by the riotous opposition that has characterized the first few months of Donald Trump’s reign.”

Another antifa group called Puget Sound Anarchists say they were inspired by the Olympia blockade and claimed credit for sabotaging a railroad near Medford, Oregon.

“A few days ago, inspired by the Olympia train Blockade, we used copper wire to signal a blockage and disrupt rail traffic near Medford Oregon. Railways are easily accessible and everywhere. Sabotage is fun and easy,” the group wrote on November 30.

Although it has not been confirmed, the mention of a track obstruction, if it were intentional, may point to domestic terrorism.

At least six people have been confirmed dead in the derailment.

If it is shown that antifa is responsible for this, it is time to make it official. They ARE a terrorist group. At which point any of them arrested should be treated as terrorists. Suspension of rights under the Patriot Act and jailed.

Send in armed teams and open fire if any of those filthy sub human geeks so much as blinks.

I don’t think these miserytwáts realize how utterly DONE a lot of us are with their bullshît, and are willing to just have SWAT turn them into training exercises.

And, of course, once again fighting the “big evil fascist government” entails cowardly attacks against innocent citizens. These people are animals and need to be hunted down.

These guys give anarchists a bad name. I highly doubt they are.

Robert, if we actually enforced the letter of the patriot act some terrorist has to go down for bridgegate. It’s a delicate situation for those who pick and choose which criminals they want to back.
