Marsha Blackburn Roasts Twitter Over Pro-Life Video Censorship

Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn criticized Twitter for rejecting her campaign ad, for no reason except the company disagreed with her beliefs.

During her appearance on Monday’s “Fox News Tonight,” Blackburn, the representative from Tennessee’s 7th District and chair of the House Subcommittee on Communications and the Internet, criticized the social media website for engaging in a “double standard” by refusing to advertise her campaign launch video.

In her campaign video, Backburn states that she is “politically incorrect and proud of it. I’m one hundred percent pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts, thank God.”

According to Blackburn, Twitter stated the video would have been acceptable if the “pro-life part” was removed.

She said it was “astounding” that Twitter did not allow a “pro-women, pro-baby, pro-life message,” on its platform.

“Twitter can go out there and allow all of this showing take a knee during the National Anthem, but they will not allow a pro-life, pro-woman, pro-baby message,” she added.

Blackburn said Twitter’s explanation stated the advertisement “was too inflammatory and that it would evoke a negative response. But, if I were to take that out, then — omit the pro-life part, then they would allow us to push forward that video.”

The double standard here, according to Blackburn, is that Twitter allowed an advertisement claiming the “GOP’s 20-week abortion ban would harm women and families, and criminalize doctors for providing routine care.

the left screams for fairness and equality, but i only ever hear right wingers uphold those things when they say things like, “i don’t agree with what you say, but i’ll always defend your right to say it.” this has to all be orchestrated.
