Brits Under 18 Will Be Banned From Buying Acid (And Not the Fun Psychedelic Type)

As part of an effort to crack down on the growing trend of acid attacks, UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has announced that minors will be banned from buying corrosive substances.

In her speech at the Conservative party conference in Manchester, the Home Secretary announced plans to ban residents under the age of 18 from buying acid, as well as plans to limit the sale of sulphuric acid, which is used to make homemade explosives.

“Acid attacks are absolutely revolting. You have all seen the pictures of victims that never fully recover. Endless surgeries. Lives ruined. So today, I am also announcing a new offence to prevent the sale of acids to under 18s,” said Amber Rudd at the conference.

Rudd said the Tory government also plans to crackdown on terrorist propaganda. Under new regulations being proposed, residents who repeatedly watching terrorist content could face up to 15 years in jail.

“I want to make sure those who view despicable terrorist content online including jihadi websites, far-right propaganda and bomb-making instructions will face the full force of the law,” the Home Sanctuary said during her speech.

“Changes will enable police and the security service to keep pace with modern patterns of internet use and intervene earlier in an investigation given the speed with which online radicalization is taking place.”

Rudd demanded that internet giants do more about extremist content online. She also reprimanded Whatsapp for its encrypted software, which has kept the government from reading terrorists’ messages. The same encryption also protects private citizens from having their messages read by criminals.

“We must require the industry to move faster and more aggressively. They have the resources and there must be greater urgency,” she said.

Rudd also criticized the Labour party during her speech. She mentioned the Labour parties opposition to “anti-terrorist laws” and their close connection to Hamas and Hezbollah.“They won’t clearly condemn the actions of the IRA. They don’t support police officers shooting to kill. They’ve called for the dismantling of the police, the disbandment of MI5 and the disarming of police officers.”

“They won’t clearly condemn the actions of the IRA. They don’t support police officers shooting to kill. They’ve called for the dismantling of the police, the disbandment of MI5 and the disarming of police officers.”

Despite its broad scope, Rudd’s policy is unlikely to reduce the problem of terror in British cities. Teenage access to acid is not, after all, what is causing cause acid attacks.

this is one case where the assailant should suffer the same plight as that of his victim — you throw acid in someones face, you suffer the same consequences ( & i don’t care how young the assailant is )

No discernible pattern there at all. 🙂 How about those bacha bereesh in Afghanistan? We should ban young males! Think of the angst they cause all these pent up shepherd terrorists! God forbid we hold the actual Islamic perpetrators of these “cultural norms” responsible! That might be awkward and uncomfortable.

But, but, it isn’t British under-18’s who are throwing the stuff. It’s a very specific, very identifiable demographic.

My liberal friend tried to argue that this was a “white male gang” problem, as I laughed incredulously. There was ONE case of a white teen throwing acid at a party, and of course all the media ran it endlessly, pretending this was the norm. This crime is predominantly found in three towns around London, the three that by shear coincidence have a +30% Muslim population.

I hope you argued with your liberal friend until you convinced them otherwise / proved them wrong?

Arguing with a Liberal? Why waste your time?
Better to let them get converted the natural way…as a victim of a crime of some sort.

What about far left propaganda. Convenient omission. More damage to Portland Oregon USA $1BIL dollars. Than some little alt-right march.

Because, you know, they can’t buy car batteries that contain sulfuric acid or steal the batteries out of someone’s car.

Or get one of their 300 cousins who are over 18 to buy it for them.

If your government only wants to deal with the how someone commits a crime instead of the why, you might have a liberal government.
