CAMPUS CRAZIES

Citrus College Reminds American Students They Come Second

A student attending California’s Citrus College forwarded us an email today from the School’s President.  The unfortunately coiffed Geraldine M. Perri lends her support to the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Statement calling Trump’s repeal of DACA “heartless and senseless”, and encourages students to “offer kindness and compassion” to students who might “be feeling anxious”.

I encourage all members of the Citrus College community to offer kindness and compassion to those among us who may be feeling anxious or disenfranchised. Please keep in mind that our college’s student-centered team includes supportive faculty and staff to help students achieve their educational goals in a safe and supportive environment. I would also like to remind the college community that on January 17, 2017, the Citrus Community College District Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 2016-17-06: Citrus Community College District Resolution of Support of Students and its Commitment to Access, Affordability, Diversity and Inclusion.

Perry failed to mention the cost of providing these services, which academic units did not receive the funding that was instead earmarked for assisting illegal immigrants, nor did she encourage compassion or kindness to the American students who failed to gain admittance to state funded universities like Citrus College.

According to the School’s website, integrity is one of their core missions, which they define as “[b]ehaving ethically in all interactions at all levels”. The ethics of Citrus College do not apparently include following the laws of the land or serving the citizens of the state and country that provides funding for the college to operate.

Schools literally think they are a new government body mandated to dictate whatever the fuck they want. It’s like a giant multi faceted Ministry of Truth.

Fuck them. Learn online from un-biased institutions. Universities need to stop being so toxic or face extinction.

They have been brainwashing the children for a couple of generations now, just think of common core.

Whoever put together that title graphic missed the two Asian ladies and the other brown guy. What a disgusting display of exclusion. I am triggered.

Of course it’s California. Time to federally defund sanctuary cities/states.

I would think the last thing a DACA student would want is to be patronized by fellow students, or singled out as different or special. Most of them want to fit in and make a go of their lives; the ones who don’t seldom bother with college. Singling them out as objects for other students to pity is not only counterproductive but probably destructive as well.

All of this would end over night if the law was changed to stop funding to these crazy programs from general funds from tax and students loans and mandate that funding be made only by cuts to administrators and instructors pay. It is easy to make other people foot the bill for your crazy crap but that stops when it is your money paying for gender studies wack-a-doodles.

Tell the real story of the photo!

“Any white men, please stand out of camera view, please. You shouldn’t have to be told to do that by now.”

There aren’t any because Resolution number 2016-FWhitey-O1 banned them from campus long ago. Don’t worry though because Resolution 2017-KillWhitey-12 will ensure they never return to campus to get in anyone’s way ever again.

They won’t need killwhitey-12. Boys performance in education is dropping heavily. Jordan Peterson predicted 90% of university students will be female in the next decade or so. While he didn’t present evidence (and I’ve heard that same figure based on the last 20 years of trends), I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that it will be very high. Everything he’s said as a fact that I have checked has been confirmed (and I do check many facts).

You’re spot on! If anyone in the western world is paying attention, school billboards, school newsletters, school posters, newspaper articles often shove boys to the back or don’t show them at all.
I read a document by PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) that spent 30 pages of 170 pages saying girls are disadvantaged because they lack confidence. I believe the thinking is that if you exclude boys at every possible opportunity, it will improve everybody’s academic performance.
While this narrative is promoted by many feminists, education departments and social justice warriors, one feminist, the factual feminist has pushed back against this approach. She even wrote a book called the war against boys. Boys grades are declining significantly (check the stats) and the argument is that it’s catch-up from past sexism.
I’m inclined to agree. The real story here is that photo. Not the content of the article. If you really get me going, I may just post a mountain of data I have on this topic (including how balanced the media used to be 50 years ago in representing boys and girls, a stark contrast to today).

You mean that a group of girls wanted a photo together and some guys photobombed them — to the point that one of the girls is barely in the picture?

Any school diverting funds from legitimate, legal resident students or those on student visas, to fund illegals attending school there should have their federal funding cut to zero. Let the bleeding heart alumni support their cause. They’d be bankrupt in less than 6 months.

I love Trump but some days I wish Giant Meteor had won.

Was the percentage of sane, rational people always in the low single digits?

DACA is unconstitutional on its face. Tell illegals to get an immigration lawyer and start the process of citizenship or pack and go back to their country of origin.

I think they did that at my school also.

So not only do student spots go to illegals, but those students denied entry and working a minimum wage job are told to continue paying taxes for these colleges to help these illegals… Seems fair!

NO FEDERAL FUNDING or STATE funding to schools that put ILLEGALS above US BORN or LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

Gawd! I am sick of hearing about “Dreamers.”
Clearly, the dreams of American citizens just don’t matter anymore.

Oh they never did…I mean who wants to dream of being covered by health insurance if you were born with a chronic disease (read: pre-existing condition)? Who wants to dream of a government that doesn’t embarrass the rest of first world countries by acting like the stereotypical boorish American tourist? Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness does not mean you’ll attain happiness or your dreams without putting in a little work yourself.

Funny how Socialists often talk about the “disenfranchised” but criminalizing Profit and Property is the definition of Socialism. I don’t see a whole lot of franchising going on in Venezuela or North Korea.

Anyone who consciously breaks Federal law should be banned from receiving ANY Federal Funds INCLUDING FEDERAL LOAN SUBSIDIES FOR STUDENT LOANS!
Try running a college or university without any paying students you simpering liberal weenies!

Uh huh — Citrus College is a Community College (aka a 2-year college). It accepts everyone. Grandma can go, Dreamers can go, even precocious pre-teens can go.
Maybe you need to re-read what Citrus wrote, especially how they stick up for “Access, Affordability, Diversity and Inclusion” for all students.

Hey, I just wanted to comment about the picture being used.
I’m actually the guy you see in the back.

I have no opinion to voice when it comes to the current DACA debate, I’m very grateful to be studying here in the U.S. on a student visa, and given that I am not a U.S citizen, it is not my place to make a normative statement on the matter.

I just did not like the way my image, along with other really hard working student from Citrus College, has been used to illustrate this article. This is a picture of the front row of our graduation ceremony. As a result, the people you see on that picture are actually some of the most hardworking, and highest achievers to graduate from Citrus that year.
Additionally, being here on a student Visa, I do not receive any Federal nor State help towards my education here in the U.S. (I actually pay more than U.S. citizen and permanent residents most of the time). So if there’s any way another image could be used to illustrate this symbol of a student illegitimately receiving Federal/State help instead of my own, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you for reading,

    Max.
