JK Rowling Tries To Pretend Baseless Trump Smear Never Happened, Gets Roasted

Virtue-signalling author J.K. Rowling is again being roasted after attempting to pretend her baseless smear of U.S. President Donald Trump never happened.

As reported previously, Rowling went on a Twitter rant on Friday accusing President Trump of being literally Hitler for ignoring a disabled child who wanted a handshake.

The problem, of course, was that Rowling was basing her judgment on an incomplete video uploaded to Twitter by a DNC staffer that neglected to show Trump walking right up to the disabled child and spending several seconds greeting him.

After Twitter confronted Rowling with the full video, the author fell silent despite demands that she retract her tweets and set the record straight.

Now, Rowling is tweeting again – but still hasn’t issued an apology or deleted her initial tweets.

Instead, she’s right back at it with her virtue signalling.

Twitter has responded appropriately.

J.K. Rowling has a habit of pretending criticism of her simply doesn’t exist.

Earlier this year, when thousands of Twitter users asked her why she hasn’t taken in any refugees – and even offered to donate money to help her do so – Rowling similarly fell silent.

Stick to plagiarizing about them, you mean.

The lion’s share of the Harry Potter premise was lifted from Jill Murphy’s The Worst Witch series.

Much of Harry Potter was also knocked off of Star Wars:

So, to make matters worse she reveals she’s an anti-Semite, then blames the Jews and women. Ms. Rowling must not be familiar with the old saying: “When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging”.

You have misread this, She didn’t make those remarks, Kevin Myers of the Telegraph did, for which he has been sacked. Rowling actually was on the attack against him and the remarks.

Her comment. – “This filth was published in @thesundaytimes. Let that sink in for a moment.”

I actually think by failing to separate her stance on this from her other decidedly poor actions is actually a disservice to and by this website.

This article should have been about what Kevin Myers has done.

OK, my bad. I misread the tweet.

      • harlan leys

        August 3, 2017 at 6:41 pm

Myers has been as wrongly maligned as anyone she’s twitter-stormed. Morons, as usual, miss the subtext (or in this case, a careful reading, in context, would’ve sufficed).

Writing is a tough craft, at which most who pursue it have to supplement with other work to earn a living. This cow casually crushed this journalist’s career with barely a second’s thought. Has she always been accurately interpreted? As if! (Milo was trashed for similar reasons).

The onus should be on readers to figure out what he’s trying to say, rather than jump to hasty conclusions that project their own preconceived prejudices. It’s so easy to pick holes in others’ prose; how about giving them a break instead of trying to break them?

        • EB

          August 3, 2017 at 7:50 pm

Never one not to question myself I have taken your prompt and reviewed his rant. There is no other interpretation I can see. It is extensive, verbose with old ingrained prejudices, and quite literal. In fact his rant goes on. “Mr Myers also argued that male presenters may earn more because they “work harder, get sick less frequently and seldom get pregnant”. How do you reinterpret that? I don’t see any satire here.

If you want an example of bad maligning look to Katie Hopkins who was sacked over only TWO words, [final solution] , certainly open to multiple interpretations and no association implied by her of worst case.

Milo was trashed because he didn’t use his smarts in that particular interview.

          • harlan leys

            August 4, 2017 at 11:42 pm

Who wrote the following rant ABOUT what Myers supposedly said?

“Mr Myers also argued that male presenters may earn more because they “work harder, get sick less frequently and seldom get pregnant”.

Camilla Turner, in the Telegraph. A female hack in a rival paper; there’s objectivity in all its glory!

If he said that, why should it be satirical? It could be – playing on cliched stereotypes while provoking the easily provoked can be hard to resist – or he could be serious. So what?

The pertinent point he’s making – about these 2 Jewish negotiating a decent wage – reflects a fact: for whatever reasons, Jews have excelled in many areas, one of which is financial. They should be congratulated for their achievements, and proud. That’s pro-Semitic!

Rowling: ‘Women and Jews quite literally deserve what they get.’ WTF?

When any opinion columnist is sacked for expressing their opinion, it’s bad for the press, bad for writing, bad for speech, bad for society.

Milo was trashed for politically expedient reasons, in a carefully calculated take-down. He was and is too smart for his own good; people hate to be shown up. On that particular topic, moreover, the taboo nature ensures that child abuse proliferates amidst the idiotic ignorance that Milo’s take down served to reemphasize.

Evil thrives in shadows, silence, ignorance, denial..

ONCE AGAIN :- Rowling DID NOT SAY THAT. She was quoting what Myers said. AND you take me to task for not understanding what he wrote! Regarding him having the freedom to opinion, yes he does, but he also has the responsibility to take the consequences. Additionally he should stick to journalistic honesty.

She is definitely not getting any more of my money until she shuts the hell up about my country’s politics and issues an apology for her anti-Semitism. I used to like her — I certainly appreciate the charity she runs that rescues children from orphanages — God bless her for that . . . but she must think she’s God they way she ragging on Trump . . . who does she think she is? His wife; his mother? Now that we know she’s anti-Semite I am left wondering how much of my money spent on her books has gone into the anti-Semite activities in Britain and around the world.

  14. Rekt

    July 31, 2017 at 4:07 am

She’s supposedly a writer, but I don’t think she knows- or maybe she doesn’t understand, what “self reflection” means. If it’s as simple as that, ok, honest mistake. But Harry Potter was practically designed around that concept, being “the one” and an orphan.
The only rational conclusion to draw is that JK Rowling is filled with dark magic, and is no longer a benevolent human being.
But seriously, her behavior reflects a high degree of narcissism. Narcissism practically means ‘to wallow in ones own emotions’. Hers is certainly not loyal to reality.
Maybe she’s got writers block and just want to troll like a complete and utter cunt.

Her one and only claim to fame is that she wrote a series of popular children’s books which made her filthy rich. Before that, she was just another nobody –
She isn’t a genius, she doesn’t have a lifetime’s experience in geopolitics or law.

J.K. Rowling should stick to her charity Lumos and stop tweeting hate and ignorance at the president of the United States. Why she hates Trump so much is beyond me but sharing it with the world is what liberal celebs do. Trump wants to empower people, not keep them dependent on government handouts. J.K. Rowling should know the importance of this better then anyone after going from rags and being on welfare in Edinburgh, Scotland to riches by having the opportunity to empower herself. Trump never lived a life of welfare and poverty and yet he still understands that our government wants to keep the American people tethered to it instead of helping them overcome it. J.K. Rowling should know better but has forgotten that she was entitled to overcome. Everything she complains about is helping the UN to push their Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030, just like every other celeb out there thinking they must speak up for some cause that they believe the government should fund. America does not want a NWO. America does not want to be dependent. We want to be empowered, we also want our chance to be successful. I suppose that being wealthier then Queen Elizabeth makes Rowling feel secure in her placement once we live under a one world government. I guess she feels that donations will be pouring in to her charity once this happens. I guess she thinks that after a NWO is in place that the world could only get better and that the elites who own all the banks in the world and who will control everything and the one government pushing the elites agendas and the multitude of law enforcement officers making sure we servants of this government “toe-the-line” will be the best thing that ever happened to this world. I guess she thinks that this government will actually be concerned about institutionalized children or child sex trafficking while doing everything they can to depopulate this earth. I guess she believes that this government will fund her charity and she wont go broke doing it herself. People like Rowling are a danger to every living soul on this planet. They are why Americans voted for Trump. A woman from Yate, England moving to Portugal and then to Edinburgh, Scotland complaining about a president in America when she has never walked a mile in American shoes and has no concept of reality in America should just keep her opinions and ignorance to herself.

Does she not have a PR staff? Were they all on vacation? A simple, short apology saying she repeated something that was reported… she thought it was true… she didn’t check the story because she’s not a newspaper… and she’s sorry for repeating an untrue rumor…
