Members of the Women’s March reportedly hired armed guards to protect them during Friday’s protest of the NRA.
As reported previously, the protest came in response to the release of an advertisement by the NRA calling for pro-Trump Americans to arm themselves against the increasingly violent left.
“Recent actions of the NRA demonstrate not only a disregard for the lives of black and brown people in America, but appear to be a direct endorsement of violence against women, our families and our communities for exercising our constitutional right to protest,” the Women’s March organizers claimed, rather confusingly since the ad makes no mention of race, gender or the Women’s March in any way, shape or form.
Nonetheless, as Townhall reports, the Women’s March organizers set the NRA in their sights and conducted their protest on Friday, rallying for the following arguments:
- Real men don’t need guns
- No one is safe unless everyone is safe
- Loaded guns under beds are bad
- The NRA doesn’t respect women’s rights
- The NRA is full of bigots
“But what’s a leftist rally without a massive dose of hypocrisy?” writes Townhall’s Katie Pavlich. “Turns out a number of Women’s March leaders are walking with armed security and protective vehicles.”
NRA TV has confirmed the hypocrisy in a video report, accusing the Women’s March organizers of using civilian donations to pay for their hired guns.
In the report, NRA TV’s Chuck Holton pointed out that not only did the Women’s March organizers hire private armed security to protect them; police officers, funded by taxpayers were also in attendance to ensure everyone’s safety.

“I think that’s the bigger story, the irony of the fact that they’re marching against armed security while the taxpayer pays for police to be out here protecting them.”
“The fact that they are hiring private armed security, well within their rights, but the hypocrisy just stinks to high heaven,” NRA TV anchor Grant Stinchfield chimed.
Stinchfield proceeded to challenge the liberal mainstream media to “tell the real truth, that the supporters, of the Women’s March actually do support the use firearms to help protect themselves. That’s a story that needs to be covered.”
