House Dems Vote Overwhelmingly Against Legislation Protecting Americans From Criminal Aliens

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed two bills clamping down on the flow of criminal aliens.

According to Time Magazine, the two bills are Kate’s Law and the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act.

The former, named Kate’s Law – after San Francisco woman Kate Steinle, who, nearly two years to the day, was killed by an alien who had been deported from the U.S. numerous times – imposes strict penalties (10-25 years in prison) on aliens who re-enter the United States after being deported.

The latter bill sees federal grants revoked from cities which prevent immigration officials from obtaining aliens for deportation.

“The implementation of these policies will make our communities safer,” said President Donald Trump in a statement.

“Opposing these bills, and allowing dangerous criminals back into our communities, our schools, and the neighborhoods where our children play, puts all of us at risk.”

Speaking of opposition, Kate’s Law and the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act had plenty.

According to Fox News, 188 House Democrats voted the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act while 156 Democrats voted against Kate’s Law.

The Washington Times reports that Democrats “acknowledged that the stories of Steinle and other victims were heartbreaking but said punishing sanctuaries could end up producing other victims by chasing immigrants into the shadows and making them less likely to report criminals.”

The outlet’s report continues, “but a top Justice Department lawyer said this month that it’s fear of retaliation from criminal gangs, not fear of federal agents, that keeps witnesses silent.”

Online, the debate continues to rage on, with many liberals responding to President Donald Trump’s tweets celebrating the passage of the legislation with anger.

Both pieces of legislation will now make their way to the Senate for approval.

To the idiot tweeter Steven Boyer: “taking money away from cities that really need it”….why, praytell, do they NEED that money Steven? Maybe because there’s a bunch of people living there who shouldn’t be and who don’t pay their “fair share” in taxes to help support the community in which they live? If you have a lifeboat that is built for 50 but 65 jump in, you don’t get to sue the lifeboat manufacturer. “Wow real nice of you, building a boat for 50 but not 65”, well when you go over capacity, something has got to give.

Sanctuary cities “need money” and non-sanctuary cities don’t need money.
Seems like there is some obvious conclusions that can be drawn from such a simple statement.

Maybe “sanctuary cities” (which really don’t exist..another made up Leftist term) need to reconsider their spending priorities.

Anyone who voted against Kate’s Law should face massive opposition in the next election. Gotta vote them out.

Do the Democrats that voted against these bills not lock their doors at night? It’d sure be nice to see them consider the safety of others for once.

They don’t need to lock their doors. They have government paid security agents, systems, and monitors.

I’m a liberal, it is about time this was done! How can we have property rights, free speech, human rights, lower taxes, better healthcare, safe streets, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as laid out in the Declaration of Independents and our U S Constitution by our liberal forefathers if non Americans are leaching our life blood away. The far left regressive Marxist are as stupid as the far right fascist, both are not liberal and are authoritarian. Protections of our borders is the only way to keep America American

I applaud one of the rare, what I call, “Classic Liberals”. Liberals used to believe in Liberty, freedom and pursuit of happiness. What happened to make your brethren neo-liberals so anti-American? Kudos to you.

They are Marxist and regressive they want to destroy America and turn in into a Cuba. There are many of us classical liberals and we have been fighting them for year, and sadly losing, I hope you and I can fight them side by side and then we can kick their ass!

So all people who enter the US are as guilty as those who have commited a violent felony — murder. Ya, that sounds fair.

This is why Republicans will lose the majority in 2018 — in addition to the health care fiasco. –D.

Yes, they are all equally criminals. 330,000 new people enter the workforce each year. 160,000 new immigrants also enter to fight for jobs. Local health care is burdened. Our schools are becoming over capacity. We are paying for illegal aliens schooling and healthcare.
You ask why it’s fair everyone is sent back. We are asking why is it fair our children have to compete with cheap labor to get a job. Why do they have to go to schools with 40 kids per classroom. Can I ask you how that’s fair to my kids?

“Those who re-enter after being deported” and “all people who enter the US” mean the same thing to you?

This fucking idiot right here is exactly why Republicans will continue to maintain the majority long past 2020.

Typical liberal shit for brains that cant grasp the obvious concept of legal versus illegal aliens.

      Fucking clueless.

Illegal Aliens who continue to break our laws over and over again can’t be trusted. They have proven that the rule of law means nothing to them. These illegals are also disproportionately represented in prisons. A sovereign nation must have borders and those borders must be enforced.

turn Rikers Island into a prison for illegals who keep crossing the border & ISIS wanna be’s. New York wants to close this jailhouse down. @SecretService @CustomsBorder @DEAHQ @FBI @ICEgov @realdonaldtrump
