Megyn Kelly’s Alex Jones Interview Sees Record-Low Viewership, Gets Panned By Critics

Last night’s episode of ‘Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly’ saw the worst performance yet for Megyn Kelly’s new show, even though the flagship interview with Alex Jones received plenty of attention.

CNN reports that Megyn Kelly’s interview with Alex Jones brought in only 3.5 million viewers, continuing a steady decline in viewership for the former Fox anchor’s new show.

This may come as a shock considering how much press the show garnered before it was even released.

Megyn Kelly gained the ire of Chelsea Clinton who ferociously attacked Megyn Kelly for her interview with Alex Jones. Not only that, JPMorgan pulled their advertisements from NBC over the “repulsive” interview.

Liberals couldn’t even comprehend a preview of the interview and freaked out all over Twitter. Now, it seems NBC would’ve been better off airing Hillary Clinton’s face, or something equally awful on the screen for an hour, rather than airing Megyn Kelly’s highly edited sit-down with Alex Jones.

According to CNN, Megyn’s show last night trailed two reruns…

The show also trailed a re-run episode of CBS’ “60 Minutes,” which brought in 5.3 million viewers. Among 18-49-year-olds, the demographic most prized by advertisers, a repeat of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” beat both Kelly and “60 Minutes” by about 40%.

Those stats are going viral.

Meanwhile, Variety’s Sonia Saraiya writes that Kelly’s “superficial” interview with Jones “fails to find the story.”

“The decision to go after Jones actually put the spotlight on the fact that Kelly, despite the reputation she built at Fox News, is not a great interviewer,” Saraiya writes, criticizing both Kelly’s interview with Jones and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Kelly’s primary mode is manufacturing and expressing concern, without much thought as to where that concern comes from and why it matters.”

The Root’s Michael Arceneaux, meanwhile, states, “Megyn Kelly’s interview with Alex Jones was a waste of everyone’s time.”

“Megyn Kelly is full of shit,” he writes, panning Kelly’s decision to interview Jones.

“If there’s anyone who knows that in today’s media climate, simply seeking to ‘expose’ a propagandist is typically a fool’s errand, it would be the former host of a Fox News prime-time show.”

Over at Zero Hedge, ‘ZeroPointNow’ writes, “At the end of the day, the Megyn Kelly interview was nothing more than a gigantic advertisement for Infowars. Oops!”

Of course everyone stayed away! It was obvious this was going to be a hit piece, so why would we waste our time? I think it just goes to show how few Leftists there really are, since they were the only audience for this bit of mental masturbation. Clearly a minority!
