For the second time this weekend, conservative protesters appear to have interrupted a performance of The Public Theater’s ‘Julius Caesar,’ a play that has drawn criticism for its featuring of a President Trump-lookalike being assassinated.
According to Cassandra Fairbanks, writing for Big League Politics, tonight’s performance was The Public Theater’s final display of ‘Julius Caesar.’
Fairbanks reports that a first protester, whom she calls “Proud Boy Jovi Val” stormed the stage screaming, “liberal hate kills.”
Fairbanks subsequently updated her article to report that “a second protester disrupted the production by screaming, ‘we’re sick of your bullsh*t’ during the assassination scene.”
She provides the following tweet from a witness.
Another interruption. This time during the Caesar death scene. Protester yells: "We're sick of your bullshit!" Crowd boos.

Tonight’s interruption of the play comes following Friday’s incident during which Rebel Media reporter Laura Loomer and independent journalist Jack Posobiec chastised actors and attendees of the play for its depiction of violence against “Trump.”

As reported previously, The Public Theater’s ‘Julius Caesar’ production has been highly contentious, with both Delta Air Lines and Bank of America pulling sponsorship of The Public Theater over it.
The New York Times and CNN parent company Time Warner did not pull support of The Public Theater.
The Times cited its desire to uphold “free speech for the arts as well as the media” while Time Warner CEO stated, “if you think about the play itself, about Julius Caesar – the killing of Caesar itself raises very important points about how that did not work out well, nor did it accomplish the ends of those senators who did kill Caesar.”
