Report: MSM Falls For FAKE NEWS Story About Boyish Girl Being Banned From Soccer Tournament

Mainstream Media outlets have reportedly been caught spreading news yet again this week, this time by claiming that an 8-year-old girl and her team were banned from a soccer tournament because she looked like a boy.

“A girl with short hair was kicked out of a soccer tournament because she ‘looks like a boy’” read a headline from The Washington Post, while The New York Times ran with “‘They Thought I Was a Boy’ – Short-Haired Girl Barred From Soccer Tournament.”

Both of these, as well as the many other misleading headlines from other prominent outlets such as TIME, ESPN and CBS, are reportedly, in fact, not the reason the girl’s team was disqualified from the tournament.

As reported by The Washington Free Beacon, 8-year-old Milagros “Mili” Hernandez was disqualified for something completely different than bad hair.

A lawyer for the Southern Sarpy Activities Program, which organized the tournament, told the Omaha World-Herald that officials were aware Hernandez was not a boy and the reason for her disqualification was more about bureaucracy.

Due to a typo on the official roster of the team, Hernandez was marked in as a boy. The official roster is the responsibility of the team and any mistakes should be corrected before the tournament begins. Even if it is a mistake the lawyer, Bill Bianco, says that it violates tournament rules to have a boy on a girls team roster.

The Sarpy Activities Program said in a statement that “Tournament officials are committed to the kids that play and if a team has rostering issues the tournament officials are willing to address the issues prior to the start of the tournament to avoid future confusion.”

According to Bianco, Hernandez’ team also broke another rule of the tournament by having the same players on multiple teams, however, none of the Mainstream Media outlets mention this.

Of course, Hernandez sat in front of cameras and spoke to local reporters, claiming that she was disqualified due to her short hair. We must remember, however, that she is 8-years-old.

This little shit was just making trouble. I know, because it’s very near where I live. Screw all the news stations here, they manufacture news, to suit their own purposes. All they were trying to do here, from the “girl” to the Coach, and the news stations, was to stir up crap. We need a wall built, our towns are full of shit-starters like this.

I knew this was fake. With all the discussions about how to determine the sex of student athletes, it’s very unlikely officials would just use hair style to exclude a team from a tournament.

Has MILO.NEWS ever published a story they later retracted because the source was lying or exaggerating?

The more ambitious the outlet & the more unknown the story, the more likely you’re gonna get burned. (An athlete without scars, is no athlete at all.)
