Advertisers Begin Abandoning Hannity As He Pledges To Continue Investigating Seth Rich Case

Several companies have reportedly begun pulling advertisements from Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show following the man’s pledge to keep investigating former DNC staffer Seth Rich’s mysterious murder.

According to HuffPost, was the first company to formally announce it would be removing ads from Hannity’s show.

“The fact that we advertise on a particular program doesn’t mean that we agree, disagree, or support or oppose, the content,” a statement from the company reportedly reads. “In this case, we’ve been watching closely and have recently made the decision to pull our advertising from Hannity.”

Posted by Milo Yiannopoulos on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 was followed by Peloton, which stated, “we directed our media agency to stop advertising on Sean Hannity’s show. This will take a few days to take effect.”

Then came mattress retailer Leesa Sleep, which said, “we adjust our media buying every day and we can confirm that we are no longer advertising on Sean Hannity.”

See Sean Hannity speak with Rod Wheeler, a private investigator who claims to have knowledge of Seth Rich’s involvement with WikiLeaks, below.

HuffPost reports that Casper, another mattress retailer, was the fourth company to pull the plug.

“Hannity has been in hot water for continuing to peddle a conspiracy theory linking Rich’s unsolved killing to WikiLeaks,” the outlet continues. “Washington, D.C. police say they suspect Rich was shot during a robbery attempt while walking in his neighborhood.”

The outlet goes on to declare that “there’s no evidence his slaying has anything to do with leaked DNC emails published by WikiLeaks, which U.S. authorities have blamed on Russian hackers.”

Sean Hannity has indeed been one of many public figures to call into question the D.C. police department’s explanation for Rich’s death.

While Fox News retracted its story on the topic, stating it did not meet its editorial standards, Hannity doubled down.

“I am not or,” he said on his radio show yesterday. “I retract nothing.”

Hannity did, however, announce on his show last night that he would not be discussing the Seth Rich matter “for now” out of respect for the DNC staffer’s family.

Hannity followed that segment up with a tweet stating he was not backing down.

While advertisers drop Hannity’s show in response to the backlash his involvement in the Seth Rich/WikiLeaks story has created, many are speaking out in support.

Here are a few such comments from Breitbart’s article on the topic.

Liberals are fascists. We have to fight back and apply equally strong or stronger pressure to these same advertisers to let them know that these SJW freaks of nature are like 5% of the population and that kow towing to them will be financial suicide.

      Target learned their lesson.

Time to make the rest of the companies that side against truth feel the pain financially too.

Amen. Conservatives and libertarians – it’s time to step up our game. We’re the majority and it’s time to let these companies know it.

USAA just cut off their nose to spite their face. Military families and vets are conservative for the most part. Dumb move USAA.

Boycott the USAA. They sided with the Anti-Military, Anti-Vet left.

We need to boycott every company that is helping censor the truth all in the name of protecting the Democrats.

It’s worked on Target when we turned on them over their “little girls must be forced to go to the bathroom with grown men” policy.

Time to take money out of the wallets of companies that want to destroy Conservative media just for refusing to bury real stories like Seth Rich in favor of Fake News like Trump/Russia.

Fox should have fought Gretchen Carlson. Once they showed vulnerability it was over. If Hannity leaves Fox they might as well pull the plug.

When actually Conservative Ailes was sued out of Fox and Murdoch, an amoral carnival barker, took over Fox began its decline and fall. Fox is rapidly on its way to becoming totally irrelevant.

People like Milo, Hannity; PJ media; Conservative YouTube ‘stars’; Mark Levin, etc. will continue to make Fox, etc. irrelevant.

I wonder if it is any coincidence that when he starts poking around the dark side of the Clinton family, that all of a sudden hes accused of sexual harassment.

This nonsense is making me remember what they did to Milo. I still can’t think about it without crying. I defended him and knew it was a witch hunt but I should have fought harder. I still read Breitbart, but it’s not the same. That is something I will always regret. We need to fight back, and fight back twice as hard.

Move over to One America News.

They don’t use sponsors and so the left has no power over them.

They are the most credible news station remaining.

Good for Sean Hannity for refusing to step down. Regardless of what really happened, it is not right of liberals to try to cover up the story of Seth Rich. It is an important story that deserves coverage.

In the past it was all about pulling advertisements for “racism” or “sexism” or “bigotry.” They don’t even have enough shame to hide their reasons, this time.
