Report: Ivy League Schools Received $41 Billion In Taxpayer Funds Between 2010 & 2015

Open the Books, a non-profit organization committed to increasing government transparency by releasing documents on government spending, has released information that shows Ivy League Schools received $41 Billion between 2010 and 2015.

A concerning part to many is that the eight schools in question receive large endowments in which they pay no tax on investment gains.

Various spokespeople for Ivy League schools defended the funding.

“Since 2000, over 50 startups based on Yale inventions and located in New Haven have attracted over $5 billion in investment to New Haven and surrounding towns,” Yale spokesperson Tom Conroy said, adding, “Alexion, which employs 1,200 people in New Haven, is a prime example of Yale’s impact.”

The President of the Foundation for Economic Education, Lawrence Reed, shared the report via his Facebook page and posed the question “I wonder how that might have affected their ideological diversity?”

Cut them off President Trump. They are the troublemakers. Mostly professors hiding their faces behind scarves and hoodies. Drain them!

Drop that to zero and see how committed they suddenly become to free speech.

Stop funding the universities. Cap the amount of student debt, they don’t even plan to pay it back. Prices will go down. They will have to focus on real subjects and decrease indoctrination classes. Because no one will pay for that crap out of their own pocket.

Government enabling is the reason these prices skyrocket. But I don’t think Trump has any idea this is happening.

    Cut all of that off.

Our tax dollars shouldn’t go to fund the education of domestic terrorists who assault people for daring to have a different viewpoint. We also shouldn’t help pay the salaries of domestic terrorist professers who will bash people over the heads with bike locks for daring to have a different opinion.

Cut it all off until schools like the one in Alaska stop hanging pictures of our President’s decapitated head being held by Chris Evans.

Cut it all off until schools start respecting the rights of all students, not just the fringe, left-wing trash who need safe spaces because they can’t function in society without their binky.

The article says funds went to “start ups based on Yale inventions.” That’s not the same as the government funding the universities themselves. It sounds more like researchers are able to get grants to start businesses based on their inventions. So basically all of you arguing to defund the Ivies are basically saying the US should stifle all innovation coming out of the best schools on the planet.
